NADRA Facing Serious Hacking Attacks

"NADRA, Pakistan’s most critical database, has gone through serious hack attempts originating from United States" - Daily Express.

It is still under investigation that hack attempts were either made by individuals or any US State Agency. Hacking attempts from Israel and India were also recorded.

NADRA is all set with security measures in place to ensure the protection of its database, thus there was no impact of hacking attempts.

Hacking Attempts Percentage:
- United States - 35% of total attacks
- Israel and India - 20% of total attacks

A Turkish Hacker who had hacked PKNIC once claimed publically that he had access to NADRA’s database. However, it is not confirmed that this is true or not.

Nadra should take more precautionary measures as all information in their database contains all information of Pakistani residentials and this could be very risky if someone access it.
