Tips & Tricks - Computer, Laptops, Mobiles, Tablets

Tips and Tricks in Windows 7:

Changing the color scheme:
You can change color and transparency of the borders of everything from files to the taskbar. To do this you do the following:
  • Right click on your desktop background
  • click personalize
  • click window color and appearance at the bottom.
  • From this window you can either select a predetermined color, or you can click on “show color mixer” and create any color. You can enable or disable transparency in this window if you choose also.
Changing the time settings:
  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options,
  • OR Go to the battery icon in the bottom right in the taskbar and right click. Select power options if you are on a laptop.
Enabling multiple images for your desktop background:

Put all the images you want to have as the background in a new folder.
  • Drag and select all of the images and right click them
  • Then select “set as desktop background”.
  • Hiding files:
    • Right click on the file(s) or folder(s) you want to hide and select properties, then at the bottom check “hidden”.
    • If your file disappeared then hidden files is enabled, but if it just got a little more transparent then it is disabled. To switch these options do the following:
    • Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options > View
    • From this window under “hidden files and folders” you can change the visibility of hidden files.
Changing the language of your keyboard:
    • Right click the “EN” beside the taskbar and select “settings”.
    • If “EN” is not at the bottom simply type in “language” into the search function in Start at the bottom left.
    • Click on “Region and Language” and select “Keyboard and Languages”.
Once you are at this window from either method you can add languages by clicking “add”, you can adjust the language bar, and you can also change the hotkey to switch between languages (if you want to switch without going to this window).
