Google Drive - A new Facility for Students

Google Drive, a new concept and facility is going to be available in upcoming weeks. The purpose of it is to facilitate the schools and students with unlimited storage of data absolutely free.

Around 190 million people worldwide are using cloud services regularly at home, work and school.

Under the current Google Apps for Education each user gets 30GB of space with an upgrade to 100GB worth $5 per month per user. Now Google is waiving both the fee and the storage limit and providing this facility free of cost .

Students can share all their educational work such as slides, documents and books in the storage in respective formats through Google Drive.

Google Apps combines "Gmail" and "Google Calendar" with productivity tools including Docs, Slides and Sheets. Files are synchronized across devices with Google Drive.

Google will also introduce "Google Vaults" and "Enhanced Auditing" for compliance needs and let the users see the activity of a file.

The education will get digitized in this way and students will no more need to take school bags to their schools.

Microsoft is still the uncrowned king in the digital documentation with its "Office", Google Docs is now trying extensively to catch their fair share in the market.
