The VIP culture in Pakistan is getting beyond limit and people are getting more frustrated day-by-day.
A group of passengers in a PIA flight had thrown off 2 top law-makers, "Rehman Malik" and "Ramesh Kumar" for arriving too late in the plane. PK-370 was scheduled to take off from Karachi at 7 pm on Monday but it was delayed for 2 hours just because the late arrival of the 2 leaders.
A passenger shouted, when Rehman Malik approached the plane: “Malik Sahab, you should be ashamed of yourself. You should apologize. You kept 250 passengers waiting”. After insulting Rehman Malik people turned towards "Ramesh Kumar" and forced him to get out of the plane.
The interesting thing in this whole incident is that one passenger recorded the whole insulting incident with his smartphone. As soon as it got uploaded on the internet the video went viral on the social media and eventually gained spotlight in international media. This is the power of a simple mobile phone video recorder which exponentially highlighted the outrage. First being shared on social media by millions of people, the video clip went popular globally.
Now Pakistani people are sharing the video on the various websites on the internet on huge scale and praising the passengers for holding a bold stance against the VIP culture. Many foreign news portals like BBC, NDTV, Gulf News, The Independent, The Guardian also reported the event. 2 years ago a woman had to give birth to a child due to traffic block amid Zardari’s protocol.
PIA representative told "Dawn newspaper" that the flight had been delayed for 90 minutes due to a technical issue. It is to be noted that delayed flights at PIA has become a normal routine and after this incident the repute of PIA is getting worst.
