On Saturday (6th Sep 2014) night the official website of "Ministry of Interior" has been hacked. After holding the charge of the website (www.interior.gov.pk), the hackers posted offensive remarks against Interior Minister "Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan".
According to a source, the website was hacked soon after Chaudhry Nisar’s press conference at the Punjab House in response to PPP Senator "Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan’s" speech during the joint session of the parliament on Friday 5th Sep 2014. "Ch. Aitzaz Ahsan" had severely criticised the interior minister in his speech.
The hacked website also carries edited photos of Prime Minister "Nawaz Sharif", Railways Minister "Khawaja Saad Rafiq" and Punjab’s Former Law Minister "Rana Sanaullah". It was also reported that the website was hacked at around 9 p.m PST and that the ministry’s staff was trying to restore it.
No official comments were offered by the ministry officials, but a spokesman confirmed that the website has been hacked.
